Preview for round 15

Wow! Round 15 is upon us, who would have thought! All I can say is that the last couple of weeks have been a hard one to tip and this week is no acception!

Western Bulldogs vs Collingwood (Etihad) Friday Night.
Well they were talking about last Sunday's game to have a massive build up, I reckon that this one is going to be a doozie! These two teams have won their last six and are in awesome form. Both teams will be chasing down a top four position and I reckon that they will. Looking at these two teams there is nothing between them (kinda like St Kilda and Geelong last week) and it will be a fierce game! The big question for me is whether or not the Bulldogs can string together a performance like they did against Hawthorn because if they do then they will apply the pressure early and control the game. However if Collingwood come out with the same then they can control the game. All I can say is strap yourselves in, this game's going to be a beauty! For me the Dogs will win by 12 points.

Sydney vs Essendon (SCG) Saturday.
For once this game is not played on a Sunday! Anyway. Originally I was thinking that the Swans so own this game! They have an awesome record at the SCG and they did play there last week. Then to the present day, I found that Essendon even though they lost last week (to a good side mind you) they are playing some really good footy. SO where does this leave me. Hmm I thought about this game for ages and I thought about what time of the year it is, that being the anniversary of my Grandmother's death (10 years where does it go) and she was an Essendon supporter. So I thought that since this game is close in my book, I am going to tip Essendon to win by 5 points.

Carlton vs Richmond (MCG) Saturday.
Who can forget round 1? Cousin's debut for his new club Richmond, the build up was massive! Then Carlton came out with a fierceness that I haven't seen that in them for a while. To the present day and well it has been a mixed bag for Carlton this year, although they are coming off a really good win, the first time that they had won against Fremantle at Subiaco in 8 years. For Richmond, they haven't had the best year however they have a spark in them that with time I reckon can build into something good, how good? Well only time will tell. For me, if Carlton can control the midfield then they will own the game and I think they will. The blues to win by 28 points.

Brisbane vs Geelong (Gabba) Saturday night.
Going from last weekend where both teams lost, I always thought that this was going to be a good game. I thought that Geelong had already won because they lost in a close game which normally would steer me in the direction of that team for the following week's game. However, Geelong needed a full side in order to control this game, enter earlier on in the year when Geelong won by 93 points in the wet. Geelong have Scarlett, Milburn, Kelly, Ling that were ruled out according to the Thursday night team, and then you have Steve Johnson who was a late withdrawl before last week's game and hasn't come back yet. Then I found out this afternoon that Ablett and Varcoe have pulled up sore and won't play tomorrow night. Brisbane are without a few but still look the better team. So in that case I am going to give my beloved Cats a chance by tipping Brisbane to win by 17 points (every time I tip against Geelong they win, hoping that's the case this time!) but the others will step up!

Adelaide vs Fremantle (AAMI Stadium) Saturday Night.
Adelaide to me have found some good form and this is year is one of the best years so far in a while in my book. They have key players and they're all playing. Then they have Kurt Tippet who I think will be chased heavily by the Gold Coast but I reckon he will stay at Adelaide. Enter Fremantle. Well I gave them every opportunity last week and well I can't see them beating Adelaide either. I am tipping the Crows to win by 52 points.

Hawthorn vs North Melbourne (Aurora Stadium) Sunday.
I reckon that this one's going to be a close game. Hawthorn aren't the side of last year and North Melbourne have stepped it up a notch under caretaker Darren Crocker. Both teams are on losing streaks and I think North are probably closer to a win than Hawthorn. North weren't disgraced by their performance at the SCG last week, whereas Hawthorn were shocking against Western Bulldogs in Melbourne. Due to the fact that this game is at Aurora Stadium and the Hawks don't lose two in a row there that's why I am tipping them only to win by 9 points.

Melbourne vs Port Adelaide (MCG) Sunday.
Well. Melbourne will be going into this game thinking that they have a really good chance to win this one! And I think that maybe they could. Port are having a mixed season especially winning a game that not a lot of people (apart from yours truly) gave them much of a chance. Both have had much needed wins so that bit makes this tip hard. Colin Sylvia will be a big loss for Melbourne as he is having his best season yet. Port have got some good players back and will be too strong for Melbourne, winning by 22 points.

West Coast vs St Kilda (Subiaco) Sunday.
Well St Kilda will be thinking they're so top shit (same with some of their supporters, although others are still pinching themselves) and think that they can win every game for the rest of the year. Well I reckon it could be within reach! There are a few games that will be 50/50 for them but the rest will be ones that they can lock in Eddy. Having said that West Coast have pushed sides over there to the max and that slows them up a bit. But not in this case, St Kilda to win for me by 35 points.

Well that's the Preview for Round 15. Let's see how I go this week!

Catch ya!
